Zound I/O — Play Your Guitar Through the Gibson App

A compact guitar interface that plugs directly into your instrument and connects to your phone or tablet. Zound I/O works with the Gibson App on both iOS and Android, giving you access to lessons, songs, and backing tracks.

On compatible iOS devices, connect wired headphones, a wired speaker, or an external amplifier to Zound I/O’s 3.5 mm output to use the Gibson App’s built-in digital amp. Hear your guitar in real time, apply amp tones and effects, and play along with lessons and backing tracks.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Plug into your guitar
Connect Zound I/O directly to your guitar’s output jack. No guitar cable is required.

2. Connect to your device
Use the included USB-C cable and, when needed, the smartphone port converter to connect Zound I/O to your phone or tablet.

3. Choose how you want to listen

For the complete digital-amp experience on iOS:
Connect wired headphones, a wired speaker, or an external amplifier to Zound I/O’s 3.5 mm output. You can then hear your guitar with low latency, choose amp tones and effects, and play alongside songs, lessons, and backing tracks.

For lessons and play-along content on iOS or Android:
Listen through your device, Bluetooth headphones, or Bluetooth speakers. You can use the app’s lessons and other content, but you will not hear your guitar through the digital amp or in the app’s audio mix.
